Jay Park

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Jay Park is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Prysm Capital where he provides growth capital to disruptive management teams across the technology, consumer, and healthcare markets. Investing across stages, Jay is passionate about helping entrepreneurs to do whatever is needed to realize their vision for their companies.

Prior to Prysm, Jay spent 18 years with BlackRock Private Equity Partners where he served on the Management and Investment Committees, helping lead investing activities across the US and Asia. He has served as an advisory committee member for a number of US and Asian private equity firms as well as a board member or observer on numerous portfolio companies. Prior to BlackRock, Jay was a principal investment officer with Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity focused on investing in the emerging markets, after starting his career in Merrill Lynch’s Mergers and Acquisitions department.

Jay earned a BS degree in applied mathematics and economics from Brown University, and an MBA degree, with honors, from Columbia University. Jay was born in Seoul, Korea, grew up in New Jersey and now lives in the Princeton area with his wife and kids. He enjoys basketball, golf and cooking, and in another life, would have been just as passionate to be a chef or GM to his Brooklyn (formerly NJ) Nets.

Matt Roberts

Co-Founder and Partner

Matt Roberts is a Co-Founder and Partner at Prysm Capital where he provides growth capital to disruptive management teams across the technology, consumer, and healthcare markets. Investing across stages, Matt prides himself on working with – and learning from – innovative entrepreneurs who are improving everyday lives.

Prior to Prysm, Matt spent nine years at BlackRock Private Equity Partners where he invested in market leading companies across the U.S and Asia and was a founding member of the team’s Hong Kong and San Francisco offices. During this time, he served as an Observer to the Board of Directors of Chewy, Healthchannels and Travel Leaders Group, a Director for American Express Global Business Travel and Guardian Alarm, and on the Executive Board of the NFLPA One Team Collective.

Prior to BlackRock, Matt was part of the Leveraged Finance group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he partnered with middle market companies to structure credit facilities.

Matt is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 23) and earned a BSBA degree from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Matt is an avid traveler having been to over 45 countries and as a Chapel Hill native, bleeds Carolina Blue and is a walking wiki of the UNC-Duke basketball rivalry.

Muhammad Mian

Co-Founder and Partner

Muhammad Mian is a Co-Founder and Partner at Prysm Capital where he provides growth capital to disruptive management teams across the technology, consumer, and healthcare markets. Investing across stages, Muhammad enjoys working with teams reinventing their industries.

Prior to Prysm, Muhammad spent nine years at BlackRock Private Equity Partners where he had the opportunity to partner with some remarkable management teams. During that time he served on the Board of Directors of Cofense, Qumulo, WoundTech, PLNTF Holdings (Planet Fitness franchisee), and AIM Aerospace, the Executive Board of the One Team Collective, and was an observer to the Board of Directors of Convene and Stonefire Grill.

Muhammad joined Salesforce in 2006 and spent time in Marketing Strategy and Corporate FP&A. Prior to that, Muhammad worked at TiVo in the Finance organization. He began his career with Merrill Lynch Private Equity Partners.

Muhammad is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 22) and earned a BBA degree from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. At Wharton, Muhammad was voted the most improved player on the 2009 Wharton Wildmen (ice hockey club) championship team. Muhammad was born in Lahore, Pakistan, grew up in New Jersey and now lives in the Princeton area with his wife and kids. He enjoys Michigan football, Texas-style barbecue, and pizza.
